Schneider Electric’s Edge Software & Digital Services Program has been designated as a 5-Star Partner Program by CRN. The acknowledgment is included in the publication’s annual release of its Partner Program Guide, which details offerings provided by vendors to IT channel partners.

Introduced in 2021, the Edge Software & Digital Services Program is a comprehensive suite of support offerings and certifications to help IT solution providers create a Managed Power Services practice.

Edge computing market

The program is designed to meet partners’ current needs and anticipate future requirements as the edge computing market evolves. The 5-Star designation by CRN, which has a decades-long history of covering the IT channel from all possible angles, validates our efforts in providing the services and software tools partners need to succeed in what is still an emerging area of IT – edge computing.

The program was created in response to significant growth in edge computing, which has been a strategic focus for us in the last five years. According to IDC, companies in 2022 are expected to spend $176 billion on edge computing hardware, software, and services. By 2025, IDC predicts the number will grow about 15% to $274 billion. Our goal is to support our channel partners so they can position themselves to benefit from this fast growth.

Partner opportunities

The Edge Software & Digital Services Program guides partners through the creation of an edge services practice by helping offset costs, elevating staff competency in edge solutions and services, creating market demand, and boosting profitability. In addition, partners enrolling in the program can quickly create new revenue streams by providing remote monitoring and management services of customers’ critical physical infrastructure.

The program helps lay the groundwork for power and infrastructure management services for partners that already deliver remote services. For providers that have yet to invest in recurring-revenue models, it opens a pathway into a new business that creates a steady, predictable revenue stream. According to a study commissioned by Schneider Electric, partners who add managed services to their offerings see a 30% increase in revenue.

The Edge Software & Digital Services Program delivers several benefits. The main benefits include:

  • Business Development and Investment. Certified partners can qualify for customer lifecycle rebates that help offset their expenses in building an edge remote services practice.
  • Partner Enablement. A certification program helps partners elevate the competency of their teams in edge technologies and services.
  • Partner Support.  Dedicated Partner Success and Account Managers stand ready to help partners build up their practices by advising them on tools and solutions to meet customer needs.

As part of the program, Schneider Electric offers a comprehensive set of consulting services in areas such as business transformation planning and assistance in building managed services operational capability. In addition, we help with pre-sales assessment, consulting, professional services, post-sales deployment, and integration services.

We are thankful to CRN for recognizing our efforts and plan to continue refining the program as the needs of both our partners and customers continue to evolve. Discover more about the Edge Software & Digital Services Program
